Humanities

Our Bachelor of Arts in Humanities program (4 years in length) includes two semesters of study abroad and is designed to develop students appreciation of the history, philosophy, and cultures of the world in which we live.  The program also highlights small class sizes, usually between 8-15 students, which guarantees that every student has the opportunity to participate fully in the class and engage in meaningful dialogue with his or her professor.

Join us in our Bachelor of Arts in Humanities program if you would like to:

  • embrace the inter-relatedness of ideas by studying the core humanities (Ancient History & Religious Studies, History, Literature, and Philosophy)
  • experience a unique community of learning that encourages you to be who you are
  • explore the world while completing two full semesters of study abroad—one normally spent in Asia and the other in Europe
  • engage with challenging ideas, both inside and outside the classroom, as you learn to think critically about your surroundings

International Studies

International Studies (IS) exists as a cross-disciplinary field of study where students learn about crucial world issues from a variety of perspectives. As with all our programs, we value small class sizes so that each student has the opportunity to contribute unique and valuable insights into class discussion.

Join us in our Bachelor of Arts in International Studies program if you would like to:

  • think seriously about pressing global questions of economic development, social justice, and environmental sustainability
  • have hands-on experience of living within a Christ-centered learning community, at home and abroad
  • blend Biblical, historical, and contemporary views on world civilizations with compelling cross-cultural experiences
  • explore the world while completing two full semesters of study abroad—one normally spent in Asia and the other in Europe

Psychology

Psychology is the scientific attempt to understand behaviour and mental processes. Our program integrates contemporary social science within the context of a humanities-based, interpretive approach consistent with our Arts program. Through foundational, theoretical and applied courses in psychology students will develop a holistic understanding of people that specifically considers Christian, Western and global perspectives.

Join us in our Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program if you would like to:

  • deepen your understanding of how and why we think, feel and behave the way we do
  • learn about the social sciences in an interpretive context that is based on the humanities, Christian tradition and contemporary experience
  • explore the world while completing two full semesters of study abroad—one normally spent in Asia and the other in Europe
  • explore the role of the community as the context for individual transformation
