BETH WOOD (M. Min. 2005)

- Author of "THE KINDOM AMONG US" about transforming the lives of the poor.

- ENQUIRE about her distance ed. course at VBI (Vineyard Bibile Institute) >>>

Ideas have consequences.  The way people see their reality, consciously and unconsciously, will affect or even determine the life they will live.  External resources can do little to bring sustainable development to a community if no attention is paid to underlying worldview issues.

(Beth Wood, in her Introduction toTHE KINGDOM AMONG US)

In the presence of SSU President Bob Cheatley, Dean of Ministry Dr. Peter Fitch, and Canadian Vineyard Team Leader Gary Best, Beth Wood was presented with her Master's of Ministry degree this afternoon upon presentation of her thesis, "THE KINGDOM AMONG US: Transforming Communities through the Good News of God's Kindom."  Beth's thesis is based on many years of experience working with the poor in Brazil, Angola, and Canada.  Her work is already available as a distance education training course through Vineyard Bible Institute, and will soon be available through Vineyard International Publishing in South Africa.

Beth Wood currently works with Vineyard Canada co-ordinating the Developing Community Among the Poor (DCAP) development group. The group pulls together people from each region who are actively involved in working to see God's Kingdom come to the poor. It is their desire to see each of the local churches in the Canadian Vineyard family resourced and encouraged as they develop community among the poor in the places God has planted them.
